Mo A. Hashem

Principal

Mo A. Hashem has been actively buying, selling, and managing residential real estate since 2010. In 2011 he founded Flat Fee Landlord, a residential property management firm with offices in Northern VA, Washington DC, Bethesda MD, Houston TX, Austin TX, San Antonio TX, and Dallas TX. Mo and Flat Fee Landlord have served 2,000+ real estate investors, 4,000+ tenants, and is considered one of the fastest-growing residential property management firms in the country. In 2012 Mo founded HASHEM REALTY, a residential sales and leasing brokerage.  In 2019, Mo founded Hazel Management, a property management firm that specializes in managing apartment communities. Today, Mo creates and implements value add business plans for the apartment communities we acquire in order to achieve optimal returns for our investors.  In addition to overseeing overall asset management, Mo is involved in creating and fostering relationships with industry leaders and investors.

Mo holds a BA in Political Science, Business Administration from West Virginia University. He grew up in Northern Virginia, a bustling suburb of Washington, DC. Mo, along with his wife, Samantha, and two young daughters, moved to Houston, TX in 2017 to expand their Real Estate business and develop the Texas market. 

Samantha Hashem

Principal

Samantha Hashem grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated in the top 10 of her high school class of more than 450 students. She went on to graduate in 2006 from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a track in Entrepreneurship.

Upon graduation, she moved to the Washington DC Metro area and spent 8 years in Business Development for Federal Services within the Department of Defense and Intelligence sectors. In 2014, she made a career switch into real estate where she oversaw the property management division for Flat Fee Landlord and served as the marketing director for Hashem Realty.

In 2018, she co-founded Hashem Holdings, a real estate investment company aimed at acquiring and investing in income-producing Class B and C multifamily apartment communities.

Jessica Legston

Marketing and Investor Relations Manager

Jessica Legston is a highly skilled marketing specialist with over 5 years of experience in maximizing SEO, CRO, and customer retention strategies. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Economics from Texas State University.

Jessica provides a customer-centric approach to marketing strategy and leadership for the entire Hazel Equity portfolio. She has led the marketing department through continuous growth while refining internal processes and creating efficiencies, ensuring consistent application of strategies and data.

She obtains executive experience in diverse digital media marketing and international relationship building. She specializes in social media management, search engine optimization, videography, digital marketing, and email marketing to help generate demand and raise brand awareness.

Nick Love

Acquisitions Analyst

Nick Love has helped acquire over $12.5 million in commercial real estate equity, purchased 56 multifamily units in a personal real estate portfolio, and has worked in multiple securities and private equity companies. Also, Nick’s experience includes marketing talent to run advertising and marketing campaigns for top investment titans. Nick graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's in Finance and Marketing, as well as a minor in Real Estate.
